Exploring the Potentials of Multisensory Scenography for Systems Awareness

SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS is an artistic-scientific research project by the artist and researcher duo MUELLER-DIVJAK (Jeanette Müller, Paul Divjak), developed together with international artists and systems scientists at the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab (project leader: Alexandra Graupner).

The project translates key principles of living systems into olfactory, auditory and tactile artworks and artefacts, tested within specially designed experiential spaces (scenographies). The aim is a multisensory scenography that can be used in different places and enables embodied learning: users are meant to perceive themselves as a living system, capable of taking action, embedded in living systems.
